The founder of Banco Bradesco was born on February 11th., 1904, in Ribeirão Preto, SP. He grew up in Monte Alto and Sertãozinho, where he attended the elementary school. His first job, when he was 14, was as a typographer in a printing company, and its course into the banking system started in 1925, when he was admitted as an office boy at Noroeste Bank, in Birigui, State of São Paulo. 18 years later, Aguiar had already gone through all positions within the institution.
In 1942 he left Noroeste and started a new job as director of Banco Bradesco, recently organized. He occupied the positions of general manager and superintending director and, in 1963, became its president, remaining in that position up to February 13th., 1984. He returned to the position on March 10th., 1986, remaining up to February 12th., 1990, when he was appointed honorary President Emeritus of the Bradesco Organization. He was also Secretary of Treasury of the Municipality of São Paulo in 1956. Amador Aguiar died in São Paulo, when he was 87 years old.
